1. Device Permissions & Usage

To provide its core functionality, Direct Chat requests the following specific permissions on your Android device:

• Read Contacts:
  Purpose: Used strictly locally on your device to allow you to pick recipient phone numbers for Direct Messaging and Bulk SMS broadcasting. Your contact list is never uploaded, synced, or backed up to any server.
• Internet Access:
  Purpose: Required to verify network connectivity and to fetch advertisements served by Google AdMob.
• Notifications & Exact Alarms:
  Purpose: Used strictly on-device to trigger local reminder alarms and push notifications for your scheduled follow-ups.

2. Data Storage & Security

All app operational data—including your saved custom message templates, message history logs, and scheduled reminder times—is stored in a private Room SQLite database on your local device. Uninstalling the Application will automatically erase this local database.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertisements

Direct Chat integrates official Google AdMob SDK services to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) to serve personalized or contextual ads in compliance with Google's Privacy Policies.

4. WhatsApp Integration

Direct Chat utilizes official Android Intent APIs (`https://api.whatsapp.com/send`) to initiate conversations in official WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business applications installed on your device. Direct Chat is an independent utility app and is not affiliated, endorsed, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc.

5. Children's Privacy

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
